Page v. Arkansas Dept. of Correction, 222 F.3d 453 (8th Cir. August 23, 2000) - Pro se plaintiff received her right-to-sue letter. Then, approximately one week before 90-day period to file sue expired, she sent the district court a letter requesting assistance in filing suit. She included her right-to-sue letter and her administrative charge. The Court holds that the letter and documents are the substantial equivalent of a complaint and therefore, she initiated her Title VII proceeding in a timely manner.
