Subscription rates

Our rates are based on the number of users and type of entity subscribing
When a law firm (for example) subscribes, it estimates how many persons in the firm will use our service. The cost of the subscription is then based on that estimate.
Our subscription rates also vary based on the type of entity subscribing. For example, the subscription rate for a law firm with 1-2 users is $49.00 per year if the subscriber signs up for automatic renewal (more about that in a minute). The subscription rate for a local government also begins at $49.00, but that is for 1-10 users. The subscription rates also increase more slowly (as you add users) for governmental entities, educational institutions, and non-profits.

Our customer-friendly automatic renewal program
There are two problems with automatic renewal program. First, if you want to cancel and forget, then you are renewed for another year. Second, if you ever want to cancel, the cancellation information is conveniently buried in the web site. In other words, the purpose of most automatic renewal programs is to keep you as a customer even if you are ready to leave.

Now let's discuss how our automatic renewal program differs. Let's assume you sign up for automatic renewal. One year later you want to cancel and you forget to do so. You still have thirty days after the automatic renewal to cancel for a full refund. If you do not cancel within thirty days, you can still cancel at anytime thereafter for a pro-rata refund. You are NEVER stuck paying for another year because you forgot to cancel.

The purpose of our automatic renewal program is simply to lessen the time we spend sending out annual invoices. By participating in our automatic renewal program, you will save $15.00 each year.

Why are our subscription rates so low?
We have had subscribers criticize our subscription rates as being too low.  But our rates are low because our cost of disseminating information over the Internet is low and we pass that cost savings on to you.  Obviously, if we mailed you a hard copy of our newsletter each week and mailed you a hard copy of our treatise each year, we would probably charge $1,000.00 for a one year subscription.
