1st Circuit
In
Rodriguez-Torres v. Caribbean Forms Manufacturer, Inc.,
399 F.3d 52, 67 n. 15 (1st Cir. 2005), the court held: "[Large punitive and
double damages awards] can render front pay unnecessary. See Wildman
v. Lerner Stores Corp., 771 F.2d 605, 616 (1st Cir. 1985)." The phrase
"double damages awards" refers to a type of damages available under Puerto Rico
law.
